Do you want to maximise positive performance and tackle underperformance among your staff? Motivating, engaging, enhancing and managing individual performance is crucial for maintaining and enhancing organisational performance. This activity is set against a backdrop in many cases of trade union and industrial relations issues and an ever-changing legal framework. It is thus crucial, both for maximising organisational performance and for maintaining legal best practice, that supervisors and managers are fully aware of the legislation and ready to implement its provisions in practice when tackling issues of underperformance and conduct. This said, a disciplinary procedure, although set in a legal context, is in fact a coaching process and not a punitive one. For this reason coaching skills are a key element in this programme.
